Rokblokz Mud Flap Modification for Non-RS
Rokblokz Mud Flap Install:
So as stated, the rears were just fine. The fronts were different in two ways. First is that the lower inner screw on the wheel well for a non-RS is under the wheel well. Hard to see from the picture, but there is no screw where the third hole in the mud flap is. That was no problem because the flap feels pretty secure without it, but an angle bracket could be used if one wanted to. The second difference is the gap between the other two mounting holes. I opted to use the lower of the two and re-drill the upper. This results in a slightly higher positioning of the mud flap which looked better to me since it sits so low compared to the rears anyway. Re-drilling was a simple as a cordless drill large drill bit and filing to make a nice oval for adjustment. The kit comes with nice large black anodized aluminum fender washers to cover up any ugly holes you may make.
Why are the inner fenders different for the RS? I have no idea. But I'm happy with these and I think this was easier than the Rally Armor Universals would be to modify since the rears are set and the fronts have a starting place.
