So an update to my initial post on this thread:
I installed 17" wheels and Eibach lowering springs on my car. I was getting a shimmy on the highway occasionally still. I went to the dealer to get a different calibration thinking they would give me one of the calibrations for 17" wheels and stiffer suspension (i.e. an LTZ calibration or similar). However, when I was told there were 7 calibrations for my car, the tech meant 7 calibrations for the sonic model, only 3 of which could actually be flashed to my car because of my VIN. This meant that those 3 were only designed for 15" wheels and stock suspension. So I got the 3rd calibration put on which it turns out was closest to the RS (of my allotted 3). It seems fine--has mostly eliminated the shimmy and best of the 3--but I think I'll eventually have to get the RS some other way.
The disappointment thing was that I went for this calibration and to flash the OEM fog lights thinking they could do both fairly easily and not charge me so much. Well, they charged me for 2 hours, 1 hour each (their minimum). Granted, I was there that whole time, and longer, but I don't think I really needed to be. End rant.
