SubSonic, I will check it out! I planned on mounting an extra set of fogs behind the grill after it was swapped for mesh, so maybe they have something that could work with that too!

Plus the rear quarter panels are part of the unibody so your only option would be stick on fenders. More weight.

you could pie cut them, roll them out and add on to them instead having to double them over.

Yeah, the unibody makes it a challenge...but I think that if the Fiesta and other hatches can make it work, the Sonic can. It will just take some time and photoshop skill to get the lines right. It doesn't necessarily need to look factory, I just need it to fit wider tires haha

I would never buy a 2 door DD, now if it was a project car, track car, or weekend cruiser yes I would love a two door Sonic.

I have been thinking about this for weeks. I was thinking of using styrofoam to shape the fenders and throwing fiberglass on it if I can even get the shape I want. A little grinding on the stock fenders, wheel spacers, bondo, primer, paint, done deal.

I wouldn't go to crazy with wheel spacers, More offset and back space on a wider wheel would be key in keeping the suspension in check and not killing the hub and studs.

But the foam and glass trick is the most widebody kits start in the first place.

Bingo bango, simple as that.....got it done yet? If you are serious about that, I've glasses over that pink insulation foam from home depot before. It works really well if you make molds off the foam, otherwise you will be adding GALLONS of bondo to get it even. Plus if you have molds, you can make more than just a one-off.

If I did it, those items would definitely need some fixing. It would look silly IMO to keep the same track width with a wide body kit.

Yep, just finished it! Are you referring to the foam that expands? I think the advantage of regular styrofoam from HD is it is already the exact same width, and you can form one side, and slap the opposite side right up agin it, shape a mirror piece, and more likely come up with near or identical flares.
