unless you're lowered, then the jack won't fit, and good luck trying to spin the height adjuster if you do get it under there. it's easier to jack up the car and then lower it onto the blocks.
also, the wood is so you aren't supporting your engine on one tiny point on the oil pan.

The wood is for distributing the force over a larger area like Smit said. You shouldn't have to buy wood just for this task. It wont be subjected to a lot of weight. Even a scrap piece of plywood about 4"x4" wide will work fine.

Initial review.... Holy vibrations batman!
Side note: i love how the car drives, i feel much more connected and shifts much better.
Hope the vibes reduce alot, i have a 500 mile each way trip next week so hopefully it breaks in a lot during the trip

Yes i did the nylon spacers as well
Update. I just did a 80 mile round trip. Vibrations have reduced alot. Above 1900 rpm i cant tell the mounts are different. Car cruises smooth at 60+ mph in 6th. Now when im going 50 ill just cruise in 5th so i dont feel the vibes.
I love how the car drives now, i feel much connected to the vehicle. And the wifey didnt mind the vibes so all is well
I notice it the most when taking off in 1st and revving the car. All in all its a very good mod and the vibes are worth the improved drivability. Ill post pics tommorow

where do you put the nylone spacers on the motor mount? on the base or under screw on the top of the mount

on the part of the mount that bolts to the chassis, the two closest to the engine; one bolt, one nut.

My vibrations are almost all confined to the 1000-1200 range, other than that the car is just a little more throaty than before. On cold start driving in in-town traffic this is still a little annoying since my idle stays up there until the car warms up. And in stop and go situations, there's vibration every time as I rev up from idle and again when I drop down into idle.
There's no real reason to drive in the sub 2000 rpm range, that's where the engine starts to lug and you lose mpg and hp; downshift to keep the revs up, which means this mod is actually helping remind you to drive better.

you are dead wrong. when I'm driving for economy, I never go above 2k. when I got my best tank ever, which was full of doing everything I could to get the best mileage, I never went above 1.5k, even in sixth.

No wonder you got rid of just the engine mount! I see the best mileage below 2,000 myself as well. I'm pretty sure that's why there is tons of bottom end in the 1.4's and consequently why their power also falls off after 5,000 rpm.....
