GM Parts Direct and CarID

Hey, just wondering if anyone has ordered parts from either of these sites. I made the mistake of not doing more than a cursory check to make sure they wouldn't steal my info. But their reviews are terrible...

It's been 4 days and I haven't heard anything from carid about my 3dcarbon spoiler shipping. Is this normal? I guess I'm spoiled by BNR/TireRack/Summit Racing. Everything I've ordered from them usually gets to me in a week or less.

As far as GMpartsdirect, I know I ordered the right parts, I verified the #s with my chevy dealer and the websites sales people. Still no confirmation... They took the money and sent me an email sayin NO RETURNS (even though I verified the numbers) really quick.

I ordered my bellypan from GMpartsdirect. I had no trouble with them but there was no communication. I got a shipment email a day before receiving the box. There was some odd quirk regarding shipment destination though. I beleive they required UPS shipment to a PO Box or something crazy. I had to counter it by utilizing both address lines or appending po box to zip like 44140-0241. I don't believe it was the latter as that is what I normally do, but it was something awkward.

GMPD would not ship to an alternate address. It has to be the same as your billing address. That was an inconvenience for me, but I've ordered from them 3 times and have been satisfied with the service.

That's what it was. My billing is a PO Box and shipping is street. It rejected my street address for billing for some reason and I had to be creative in order for it process.

Yeah, I don't prefer to have packages left on my porch in a neighborhood where even half burnt cigarettes aren't safe.

Their response was that in order to avoid fraud order claims down and continue to offer such low prices, I could only use the address associated with my credit card.

This Website is actually a GM Dealer that bought the web address I belive they are down south. It is not actually General Motors.

Strange I've made a few orders to GMPartsDirect and each time I've received a confirmation email and then an email when it shipped out. You can also log in and check on the status of the order.

Go to rock atuo... I ordered my replacement grill from there.. Part #'s still work its a bit more expensive but not much.. Its wroth it in my opinion

CarID is nice, I've ordered a lot of stuff from them for this car and past cars. No problems at all.
