Haha, I was there for an upgrade project. Thankfully it was winter time and the stench was tolerable. Usually it was 1-2* warmer inside than outside, just no wind. never knew that part of being an electrician would involve using a hose ans squeegee to push poo down a drain.
They would mix the "sludge" with lime and then run it through the press. From there the "cake" would drop to a conveyor and go outside. They used to incinerate it and there was a lot of dust all over everything. The conveyor they used to take it outside was to small and occasionally it would overload and stop. Then they would have to shovel it off the conveyor. On that job I learned what poo dust smelt and tasted like, what its like to squeegee and shovel ****, and how to work around liquid poo and frozen pee.
Honestly, I kinda liked the job.
