Looks like I need to buy the european headlight assembly! I like that look better that glossy

In Europe we have mat black headlight cover, you americans had glossy black cover. I want this glossy cover so much.
Anybody here knows part number of that gloosy cover.
European mat covers :95048783-left, 95048784-right.

Look on the US eBay. They're not hard to find.

FYI, the american version has metal flake in the gloss black.

Some should post up a video showing how to remove it the correct way

There is only 1 screw and some tabs holding them on. The correct way is to remove the front bumper, unscrew the 5 screws holding the black shroud w ring attached. You then have access to the single screw holding them to the shroud.

So I bought a can of metal-cast today. This is paint that is meant to go over chrome, to give the part an anodized look. Only a night pic for now

This is 3 coats of metal cast followed by 2 coats of clear.

Ive read this whole thread and still have some questions and want some opinions.

Im plasti dipping everything cause Im afraid to commit. I dont want to break tabs and I dont want to remove the whole bumper. Has anyone taped it all off and plasti dipped with success? And how many of you have just broken the tabs and not had any issues.

I've mocked up what im thinking possibly. Opinions? I already a have red calipers, red and back pinstripe and the red turbo badge going on.

How hard or how easy is it to take these off? With out actuallu breaking them?

Easy if you remove the bumper. Impossible if you don't remove the bumper. They are screwed on to the black shroud w a single screw.

haha I see all I did was bring back and old thread. If anyone wants to save time from reading the whole thing, basically it was established that to take the rings off the bumper needs to be taken off so u can get to a screw, which is a large project. The only clip that is screwed is on the bottom, so most people were just snapping that clip and being careful to get the others out. Most said they stayed in with just those clips, others said they fell out and had to be glued, others said they broke all the clips they were so hard to get out.

Im wondering if anyones dipped them while they're on the car and have it not look like crap.

I dipped mine while still on the car. Pretty difficult to do because of the weird angles and If I do it again I'm not using plasti dip. Just because it pulls with the tape.

I left a good inch around the edge when I did mind and it worked great.
