I don't think its in the tuning, Like I said my cummins was the same way. I got rid of a 6 speed in favor of the auto. You have to keep the Rpms up with the 6 speed to keep boost and the auto has boost basically right after idle.

It's the way the automatic loads up the engine.

It was the same way with the cummins diesels I had. This is also why I like automatics with turbos.

I'm not buying that, it does not follow physics. Need some strong supporting evidence for that one. At that those are crank numbers, which as Chrisj pointed out would mean the tuning is different

Anyway nice numbers, post em up in the dyno thread and I'll get you added to the list in a few days.

Why is it so hard to get your weather stripping fixed? It took me 5 visits and them saying we cant re create the wind noise later for them to finnaly hear the wind when I drove the car and pointed it out.. now they had my car 2 days now and it seems like they are trying to find something else to blame the wind on other than my weather stripping.. he was like was your front driver door glass replaced.. I said no.. well it looks like it was and that can cause wind noise.. and now he was like did you back into something with your car? I said yes a pole but no damage just painted.. then he said he can tell and dont know if that can cause wind noise or not.. its making me mad.. why cant they just replace the obvious?!

My free OnStar trail expires at the end of November, and I am seriously considering a subscription JUST so I can remote start my car with the RemoteLink app at night from inside the building at work before leaving.

It has been SO nice the past two nights making the long cold walk out to my car (it's about a 1/4 mile walk from building to parking lot) and having it be frost-free, while watching other people scraping their windshields. I get right in out of the cold and drive away.

I hate the cold/winter so much, that the crazy subscription price is almost worth it for this one feature alone. All the other features/services would just be a bonus, lol.

How long is the walk? I would be worried about someone breaking a window and making off with your ride. If you remote start it, do you have to insert the key in order to put it in drive? If so, then you wouldn't need to worry about my concern.

I re-upped my subscription just with the least coverage. There are lots of places i drive where there is no cell reception at all. It's nice to know if I get creamed there, somebody will know right away.

They've got a number of safeguards to prevent such an occurrence. It'll also only run for like 10 mins after the remote start is triggered.

There is ways to make auto start with a manual because I was looking into it before. Many places will not even try to do it but there are several methods to make it work with our cars.

I know it's totally possible, but it does suck that you can't get the benefit of having it from the factory. I'd rather have it available with my onstar and on my current fob rather than having to carry around another one.

Simple reason is liability. All it takes is one person to leave it in gear and then remote start. People sue for any reason they can. If a manufacture sold a manual with remote start you can be fairly sure that there would be a law suit shortly there after.

I only park in reverse if I'm on a steep hill facing up and even then it probably doesn't matter but to me it puts strain in the right direction. Otherwise I typically park in 1st but 2nd or even 3rd will do fine as well. I never used the parking brake on my truck, I would just stop in whatever gear and leave it. But that is a whole other story.

As far as leaving it in gear a simple neutral switch would fix this. Further more a neutral switch will also allow you to start the car without stepping on the clutch. Many times when I used to work on my truck back in the day I hated having to climb in it dirty to step on the clutch. It made no sense to me, even my ATVs allowed you to start it if you had it in neutral and didn't grab the clutch.

I think the liability comes from the fact you should never rely on only the parking brake so they want you to leave it in gear at all times.

I won't be doing aftermarket. I have no need or want to carry around some cheesy looking aftermarket remote as well as install some aftermarket system. I'd want it on the Sonic key otherwise I'll do without.

Remote start only runs for 10 minutes and then the car shuts off. if you get into the car before that time period, in order to even move the car and use it, you have to insert the key and turn it as if you are starting the car. then it activates everything to use it and drive it.

Saw me a New Scion FR-S the other day. Damn nice looking car. First one ive seen in this area. With the Right modifications it can be a very nice car from doing some research on them. Sounds like the Subaru BRZ Version has a better Mod Platform tho.

Saw me Yesterday a very nice Vibrant, Shiny, Full of Color, 2014 Chevy Sonic RS in the Blue Topaz Metallic Paint Color. As many know, im not a hatch person. But my lord that thing was beautiful. If i had the extra cash to support getting a 2nd Sonic, i think i would get me that Color and Version of the Sonic. Just wow. damn nice. So rich and vibrant in color. Loved it!
