3rd brake light flasher mod

there is a dodge dealer in El Paso that will install a flashing third brake and warranty it.

I've never been a fan of flashing brake lights. Maybe from years ago, riding sport bikes at 140mph+ with friends. It was common for us to flash the brake lights to warn everyone behind that they rolled off the throttle. Now when I see a bike with one of those flashing things I think he's signaling that he's slowing down. Then I realize he slammed on the brakes.

Not a fan of them either. I see some manufacturers are using them but they annoy me. It's inevitable that I am in traffic with a brake happy driver who has that flashing third brake light.

So apperently the spark has it stock. But the sonic does not. Didn't get a clear answer why tho.

This has got to be a state thing and not a federal mandate. I was driving to work here in FL and saw both the local county EMS and fire department using "strobe" brake lights. They were 3 quick red flashes followed by a solid red.

If this were illegal in FL I'd highly doubt they would be using it. And since I drive Bloody US 27 everyday I get to see them often while coming across accidents.

I havent gotten in any trouble what so ever for it so far. I have it set so if i havent pressed ob brake for 15 seconds it will strobe. It wont do it again untill 15 seconds have passed. This way i dont draw extra attention to it and piss people off in traffic

Not sure what all setting you can do but on my motorcycle i set it up to so 3 quick flashes then stay on as long as brake was held. Seemed to be most attention getting when stopping and draw less attention after like while sitting at a red light.

I'm undecided about this mod on a cage tho.
