One of the dial indicators I bought does .0001".

Always thought .001 was pretty dang small till I got into ultra precision work...

A lot of the tools my dad makes have a =/- 1/2 of a ten thousandth tolerance. Make a couple passes on the grinder and then drop it into a cooling bath for a few. Even when using the grinders with coolant flowing over them the parts still heat up enough to be out of tolerance if not cooled.

I'm slowly putting together a small collection of tools. The portable dial indicator I really like.

It was a sad day today. I had a large maple in my front yard cut down. Unfortunately it was too close to the house and was causing issues. I will miss the tree, but not the giant mess it always left.

Didnt get a before pic, but this was when it was just the last main limb left.

What is left until they grind it down.

The pile of wood to be rough split/cut and moved to my parents house.
