it would run low 9's in the 1/4 mile. i can't prove it so i'm sure someone will tell me i'm a liar.
a good friend of mine, before he passed away was bet that he couldn't put a 454 in his pinto. he proved us all wrong. he had a 14 bolt 1ton axle that he cut down sitting under the rear end.
the thing was mean.
its amazing what some people do with vehicles.
i love seeing the top fuel drags run 5-6 sec 1/4 miles
I saw a video of a crx driving to line with a big block, prolly a 454 but can't recall with certainty.
Had a big ole roots blower on top. The intake flappers were about even with the roof. It was overkill like I've never seen before
Unfournately the vid didn't show the race :/ who does that?

Here's a sleeper to look at. I built this one for my father. This night I changed the rear spring rate so he was running a little slower than usual and all over the place. It's amazing what a little change in spring rate does to the launch. It's 96 S10 Blazer with a 468BB/2spd PG. It runs in the 10's but could be faster if I hooked the Nitrous up. He hadn't raced since 1979 so I was gonna try and kill him putting that stuff in there.
So you was gonna or wasn't? It's probably a good thing you left the Nitrous off breaking him back in to racing.
thats a big tire for such a slow truck
