Mine is grinding now 1-2 under regular acceleration and getting worse. I've had it grind at 2500 RPM shift up a hill and while it went into gear it kept grinding for about a second. Not even sure what to make of that. The sound it made wasn't as loud, though. I'm also starting to get grinding on 2-3 shift. I think this will be the last GM I ever buy.

Give them all a second chance.

I don't think I can buy enough cars in my life to go through all the brands. If so I guess I'll just make my own! ;)

The shifting issue is not my problem with GM. Problems are abundant in all vehicles. It's their failure to address the issue that is my problem with GM. It is my hope another brand would fix an issue like this.

If you want some of the best customer service and warranty you can find, buy a Jeep. They are amazing. That said, I have no use for a Jeep and the gas mileage isn't what I'm looking for.

For what I wanted, Chevy has the best car and warranty.

I learned to drive a stick with a Jeep! I loved it. That 4 litre straight-6 is one of the best engines ever made. I could get ~21 mpg if I went 55. Of course, that's too dang slow. ~17 mpg it was.
