1-2 shift grinding status

I'm not sure exactly what you want me to look for.

The car is getting worse. The grind happened at 2500 rpm with light throttle yesterday. I am having problems going from 3rd gear into 2nd. It won't go into gear. I hold it there for half a second and it just goes nowhere. I have to put it back in neutral and try again. Sometimes it hesitates to go into first. The dealer wants to bleed the clutch line.

Also the hood has been fixed. The sheet metal under the hood stops was all bent. The body shop said someone had a prop there keeping the engine up and it bent. The dealer said they would have done that when working on the transmission. They are going to see if it caused my issue. It doesn't look like my guy did that when doing the new struts.

Don't mean to raise a thread from the dead, but is there a TSB # for this ? I did have an issue going from 1st to 2nd but I believe its mostly from trying to shift it into gear too fast (have had this problem with pretty much any FWD car i've owned newer or older).

Not that I know of. I do not have this problem at all wtih my 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt. I didn't have this problem when driving Civics and CRXs either. I test drove a VW Golf TDI and it didn't do this either.

Weird, I've been trying to reproduce this on my own car (just crossed 1k miles) and have yet been able to. It was me just shifting to fast I am sure. thankfully still have a warranty so i'll keep rowing it and see if i can reproduce the issue.

My car did it sometimes when it was brand new, but as it gets more miles it got worse. The worst so far is 2500 rpm not-that-fast shift up a pretty steep hill. The lawyer wanted me to drive it some to see if it got better or worse and it is definitely worse. I put about 1000 miles on it since I got it back from the dealer. Most of that was highway miles, though.

the "lead" tech there was bad about moving the mirrors on the alignment machine so i looked like it was set right instead of actually doing it. Im glad im out of the hole. Sorry to leave you hanging

Well the boss says nice things about you and hopes you are well. :)

I have a '13, too.
