I'm just curious...... I got my DDMW wintake in August '12, and received the cylindrical filter with it. I've noticed that many others have the cone style. Is there any flow difference? I do prefer the look of mine, as its less common, but would like to hear opinions on the two different styles.
We use that same filter on the 250whp Supercharger kits for the 2.4L Solstice/Sky without any loss in power, so as strong as your car is, you are not going to see any power difference with the new style filter.
Once a filter flows enough for the engine airflow, the larger filter will just allow longer between cleanings. We had a couple people mention that the filter looked too small, so we tested a bunch of filters until we found the new one we are using that works well with the MAF and fuel trims. So no difference in power.

We talked with the fabricators yesterday and they are on the tubes now and hope to be shipping them to us next week

Sounds good, I'll get my bushings in today so those will have to hold me over until this gets shipped. I'll look for an update on the DDM site next week.

Yeap, the tubes are shipping to us next week :banana:
All of the heat shields, silicone, filters, etc are here and already packaged ready to go, once the tubes com in, we will drop them all of the boxes and get these on the way!

Great to hear Dave, I actually called and talked to Ivy yesterday and got an update. I have no issue with the wait, I just like status updates on backordered products especially when the money has already been deducted from my account back on 04/13/13. This is just me giving some feedback but, putting more information on the DDM Order link on the DDM website when backorders happen would be appericated. It's something other vendors I've dealt with in the past have done on back ordered products and helped me feel my order was a priority.

Any chance you can post a picture showing how to install the mounting bracket for use w/o the heatshield. I couldn't make anything out from the xerox instructions I received.
Apparently I have done it wrong because I am getting some hellacious vibrations where the bracket is interfering with the motor mount. I'm thinking I may have installed the bracket backwards. Thanks.
