1.4T LT Mod Suggestions

Lowballing hp numbers for insurance got so common that I suspect insurers now plan on it happening. If Chevy decides to use the SS emblem on the Sonic (something Chevy says will not happen) expect a surcharge or rate increase for "performance vehicle" classification.

Just a prediction. The future could prove me wrong.

I did! Unfortunately I didn't realize they'd be giving stuff away....like the bov I got...could've possibly gotten it for free. Still got a pretty solid discount though so I'm still happy. I just wish slp would've done a sale on their exhausts...actually looks like the price went up $150 from when I looked at it last week.

Dang.....I wish I knew that last night. I would've been able to buy that and would've waited to buy the motor mount and bov....but I didn't and bought those....so now I must wait for more $$ to be available....but hey, at least I've got my intake/tune comin! Bushings will be happening next week too probably.

Keep an eye on that page. I saw it priced at 349.99 shipped one night and wanted to sleep on it, the next day it was back to 399.99, could have saved 50 bucks...... Might be able to catch a deal on it.

That's very good to know. May have to just put in on the cc and pick up a few extra shifts if it does.

The insurance added $55/6mo. to go from the LT to the RS. Some (and perhaps all) of that may be related to the MSRP price difference.

Not a horrible increase at all. The DDM exhaust is going on this morning, then I'll just need their heat shield adapted for the ZZP intake and the RS will be a real car.

Nothing against the Sonic LT, but the RS is "oh so much better!"

In other words, I am liking it a lot.
