Hello, everyone! I just bought my first real car, and am loving my Sonic. It's the base model with a very basic stereo; no CD or USB, only aux. However, it did come with an XM unit preinstalled, and I have a question about the wiring which goes from the unit and then slips between the upper and lower front panels. I don't have any of the proper equipment to safely remove the front stereo panel, so I'm hoping to pool into your expertise before messing something up.
Here you can see that there's a power adapter, aux, and antenna that feed into the dash somewhere. But where does the power adapter lead? Could the source be used to power an iPhone dock up there instead of the XM unit? Thanks in advance for your help! I'm very new to all of this.
