rdss is right lol. im trying to be different but i am also looking into the 1.8 turbo option as well. Just weighing out the options u kno.

I disagree. A used Z20LEH motor from Europe might be cheaper in the long run.
Everything has already been worked out with the turbo match. They have like 200hp stock and can easily be modded to 300+

Please excuse my ignorance if this has already been discussed as I haven't done any research on this topic but wouldnt the Buick 2.0 turbo they are putting in the regal and verano turbos be a more readily available swap? Plus they come stock with close to 240 horse from the factory if I'm not mistaken

The m32 has two bolt patterns. There are several bolt holes that aren't used to mate to my 1.4. But I imagine those holes are meant for mating to the 1.8.
In other words, I'm saying that your auto tran has the bolt holes to mate to a 1.4 or....... A Z20LEH........... In theory.

Check eBay.uk periodically. I took a quick look and found a LEH cylinder head with turbo. I wonder if it would bolt up to the LUV shortblock.

I'm first curious about how hard it would be to swap their turbo mani onto the 1.4 LUV.
For a second I thought that was a really shiny 1.4 turbo. Then I noticed the turbine is almost double the size and the cold side plumbing looks larger.
Someone should for sure put that on a sonic. 1st one with a 3k rpm spool...... Winning

That's cheap I say do it. The design layout looks very similar. Worst case scenario you have to chop the manifold off by the snail and have a new one welded up. More likely you have to cut a new flange and graft to the manifold.
And best case it bolts the derp up and blows another clutch. But $250 shipper

It doesn't look like it would be impossible to mount to the 1.4 cylinder head.
I see one used right now for about $250 US dollars shipped.
Would it be possible to mount it on the 1.8
