2015 ltz binding/creaking unload sharp turn

Hey everyone , ive been looking and looking in hopes of someone else who has had the issue but I just noticed about 5k miles ago under pulling out of my parking spot that I could hear this creaking/binding noise both turning left and right only when turning sharp under acceleration from a stop, it sounds like compressing a seized spring, I have replaced my sway bar links thus far as suspension goes I have had a few friends say it could be the tie rod ends but hard to pin point so thought I would ask if anyone might have a good idea what it could be if maybe someone else has experienced this.

My guess would be that a part of your suspension could my wearing, it happens and it did to me. I would guess that it’s probably a control arm issue because those are used for stability when cornering. Strut mounts, ball joints? Could be a few things. Has the sound increased in the 5k miles? Did you replace the end links recently in hops of solving the noise issue?

Best bet is to jack up the front end and inspect suspension. Shake it down.

Sound hasn’t increased more than the normal, it does happen on both left and right turning and no replaced the end links because I didn’t like the idea of the oem ones being plastic I corner pretty hard daily so sounds like I’ll have to lift it up and check it out in hopes it does it without being under load.

Gotchya, if it doesn’t make the sound unloaded maybe a load bearing part? Ball joints can creak when grease is dried up or gone. Good luck. Hopefully, it’s visible when you look.

Creaking could also be caused by sway bar bushings that attach the sway bar to the subframe. Had the same, checked the chintzy plastic sway bar end links and they were fine. When the swaybar was detached, i reinstalled the wheels and took er out for a quick boot round the block, noise was gone. As a quick fix, I put a copious spray of spray ale lithium grease on both sides of each bushing, worked it in by moving the swaybar up n down a few times, then sprayed some more lube on. Reattached the endlinks, threw the wheel back on, and took it out for a long ride, to work the grease in good. At first, there was a slight creak, but as the grease worked in, it’s quiet now. So condemned my swaybar bushings for that noise. Probably just going to run with the grease for the winter, while I source the best greasable bushings out, and do the swap out once the days get nicer. Also noticed my ball joints in my control arms both have cracked boots, so probably do the control arms at the same time, if they survive.
