2017 rs headlights swap to led

Just as an added option and user experience, I would have used these OPT7 branded headlights for both high and low beams for almost 5 years without issue this coming October. They don't require any modification to the existing headlight caps either, although that cap would allow more room behind the fans for sure.

I say would have because I just switched from OPT7 over the weekend to these CougarMotor LEDs. They are half the price at $40, have one extra year warranty period, and are made similarly design-wise. They actually fit better than my OPT7 set due to the way the wire protrudes from the fan casing. Hopefully they last just as long as the first set I used.

There's just so many choices. I've read good on the astar that was posted.

I can't believe there's room for the driver and that plug extension in our housing without them getting too hot in there

The driver and connectors can be tucked in along side the inner factory housing. It takes a bit of fiddling, but it helps to take a look inside with the factory dust cover off to see where the spare room is to tuck it all in.

Hint. . use a small mirror (or wifes empty makeup compact mirror ) and a flash light to see in there. Kind of difficult to get your head to see that otherwise.

Hope bulb is twist lock and not that stupid wire clip like my old Mazda h11 lights

Next mission will be the fog lights. Gotta get it on the lift to see how to get to them

I switched out my fog lights for leds from Amazon. There is three screws in the wheel well that hold the well on. Remove the screws and pull back the well and the fog light is directly in front of it.
