6 speed manual gear ratios

On top of what Vince and Nico have been discussing, it also looks like it would be awesome to have the 1st gear of an MZ4 and 2nd gear of the MZO. That would tighten up that 1-2 gap nicely, which would help ease getting into 2nd.... right?

That's easy since GM was thoughtful enough to do the work for you. (The MZ0 and MZ4 already have the same first gear.)

Normally I'd be a little reserved about doing yet another R&R on the trans, but since it should be noticeably different with the alternate gearing, I'm actually going to be delighted to so the work.
Plus, with the X-frame out it'll be tits doing the poly mod on the LCA bushes.

Gonna fill the voids in the bushings with 2 part polyurethane mix.

To help combat the wheel hops.

Umm, not the direction I want to go in.

The MZO would still be an improvement over the F17 though. Damn 5 speed resulting in a high RPM on the highway.

5th gear at 60 MPH is about 2475 RPM. I want to say it was right around 2000 RPM at 50, but I could be mistaken.

The MZ4 will put you at about 2,200 at 65mph.

I dont plan on waiting that long. I drive to easy for mine to fail in a timely manner.
