Airbag sensor

So this airbag sensor has flipping on and off all day for two days now. I looked in the manual and it says that either my airbag won't deploy in the case of an accident or it can deploy at anytime. Anybody else have this happen to them?

hmmm not me. But I'd sure go to the dealer to get the code read (or a place that can read those level of codes. That's not an OBD code, it's a diagnostic code)

So somewhere like advanced auto would work ? Because I really don't have the time to go sit at the dealer for 2 hours lol

not sure, they have OBD scanners, not the diagnostic level stuff... Can't hurt to ask though..

Happened to me awhile back. Check the connectors under your seat on passenger and driver side. Mine came loos on the passenger side because of the carpet somehow. Put some dielectric grease in and ziptied it. Habemt had an issue since.

Actually the sensor hasn't turned back on since the day I posted this. I'm probably going to let the dealership know when I get my oil changed in about 700 miles. But without a code to read I doubt there Is much they can do.

The ECM should store codes for a short while until you cycle the engine some number of times. The simple scan tools at autozone won't pick it up, but the dealer should be able to read the old code. Tuning software should be able to pick it up as well.

I'm guessing a loose connector - wouldn't hurt to unplug the easy to reach airbags and put some dielectric in the socket.
