Yeah, I've seen Trq in the mid 200's max, but nothing official.

I do not remember HP max but the max of 236 ft lbs of torque concerned me. I can not recall where I read that but I am pretty sure it was either official or quoting a GM document. If this is still a question when I get back from Boston I will look for my source. I will be at the Corvair Convention for a few days so may not (and for the most part will not) have internet access or time to make use of it should I have it.

Well seeing how i dont have a hatch sonic and i dont read anything that involves the hatch seeing how i have a sedan sonic. I guess i missed that post. my bad. I just saw this thread and thought i would ask when a system might be put into production. thats cool tho that they have it setup to be well, setup! lol. cant wait to see some pictures and videos on how it will sound on both a 1.4 and 1.8 Sedan if possible. I mainly want to hear the 1.8 seeing how i have a 1.8 engine. It will sound as good as the hatch for the 1.4 im sure. i want to hear this system on a 1.8 tho. either way im happy to hear they are working on a system for us sedan owners! Thanks DDMworks

A little more then a base corvette, the base Atom comes in at around $60K and we added a good amount to that, but it is still way less then the $160K that the Atom 500 commands.

I am surprised the transmissions are rated that high. GM usually rates the transmissions by the highest torque engine the transmission is hooked to. That is rarely what the transmission will take though. With the Solstice/Sky we more then double the power and the transmissions are holding up really well. Of course if you put drag slicks on a car, take it to the strip and dump the clutch at 5500rpm, you are going to put a lot of stress on it.

I'd be happy with stuffing the 2.0 4G63t in the sonic. Fastest 4cyl. Possible awd swap?

One of the best 4cyl engines ever made although gas mileage being cut in half wouldn't exactly be good for an economy car... :blankface:

So uh any good numbers for the atom? I want a standing mile time I know 0-60 and 1/4 mile would probably be a mess in that thing

I used to have a 90 Eclipse with that engine and I averaged 28MPG. And that was with a bigger turbo, fuel injectors, fuel pump, exhaust, intake, and more boost. Which, while not as good MPG wise as the Sonic, still better than most cars out there today.
