Android auto

I just downloaded the Android auto app on my phone, however I am nowhere near my home and won't be for over a month.

Is the app compatible with the my link system? Anything I should know about it?

Not putting this in the master thread for 2 reasons.

1. So I can quickly access it when I get home late February.

2. Because this thread is more about the app itself verses the my link head unit.

Android Auto works with the stock myLink, but there is no screen mirroring so there's no difference between this app and "driving mode" on the Samsung S5. It's purely a Bluetooth interface.

it's not the size, it's how you drive it....

It's not pointless, if you have a phone (or tablet) that does not have a very good driving mode then Android auto is an excellent app. I find the driving mode in my samsung to be phenomenal, it pairs well with the MyLink, and the voice recognition works very accurately.

Android auto or driving mode is made so that you can operate the phone hands-free, keeping the use of text messaging calling and navigating without having to divert your attention from the road

it's not the size, it's how you drive it....
