Kmart has double DVD/monitors that strap on to the headrests for $139. Not exactly the clean install or ability to make use of the technology in the car already but if you need to watch a movie while in motion it's probably the cheapest and easiest option.

You can get tablet mounts that connect to the headrests.

Much cooler. And everyone already has a tablet these days.

These are all much nicer for watching imo. Also avoids having to mod the my link radio which is already extremely too nice too mod. At least in the 2013 equinox i drove it impressed me thoroughly.

Q:
I have a '12 LT Hatch w/ dual 10" sealed box.
1st kid on the way in a couple weeks... need the space the box currently occupies.
Have thought about building in 1 or 2 of the 10's into the false floor in the hatch area.

Any thoughts on accomplishing this? Would you recommend a new false floor made of 1/2" ply or composite and replace the plastic composite false floor? Would you flush mount the subs to the underside of the false floor and through some covers on the top?

I haven't really explored much of this... just some ideas in my head... looking for input.

I just got done doing a older civic hatch. We made a box for a single 12. Put it where the spare went. Then made some brackets. Cut out the shape of the trunk in particle board. Mounted the particle board to the brackets, then layed the factory trunk liner over it. Raised the floor a bit but it doesnt look like we were ever there. Trunk works the same way. But when the system hits he has lots of bass.

Do a single 8" sa v2. They only take .75ft net and would probably be louder than two tens now... Give it 16 sq" of port

My wife drives the 2013 equinox.

The sonic/spark mylink is superior the the equinox/terrain-style mylink.

The only thing the equinox has we do not is a cd slot...

The sensitivity and interface in ours is much better.

i had 4 American bass XD 8"s and i actually liked those more than the SA 8" but i did have each pair off of a SAZ 1000.1 SA amp...
Sold them all though

I feel as if 8" subs get a bad name but i like them

Its actually alot better than most people think. Its a good filler sub. Im thinking about putting one under my front seat. Ive installed a few of them and every one impressed me. Its not gonna be boomy or very loud but it fills in very very well. Enough that you can feel it.
