The Redline oil surpasses all of GM requirements.
i went to service department yesterday and told them when my car get out of the body shop i would like them to change my transmission fluid to redline and they said no problem
Redline MT-90, that sh*t fixes alot of gear grind issues.
Either that or get to granny shifting! (double clutching)
I've been driving MTs for 25 years and I don't know or think I've ever double clutched before (if I have I was completely unaware of it). I just watched a demonstration video of it on youtube and it looked like an odd procedure. What's the point?
Must be nice. I was told by a GM Rep that the dealer would do this for me, but they would not guarantee that it would not void the warranty.
Old procedure necessary for synchronizing gears. Unnecessary now.

Ah, ok...kind of similar to clutchless shifting, or "synchro-shifting" as my brother called it when he taught me many moons ago.
Yep.
My friends are always fascinated when I show them how I can shift without using the clutch.![]()
I have read somewhere that you are supposed to re tap the threads where the drain plug goes in to the transmission and use a new drain plug any time it is removed? Is this true?
No, just make sure the threads are clean. If any damage is present then chase the treads and replace with a new one. But I highly doubt there will be any damage
Really want to put the redline oil in my tranny...have some notchy shifts and I got the 1st to 2nd grind when shifting at 6500 rpm...has anyone posted a diy for the ddm shifter bushings?
For the install
