I'll be switching to 93 octane after this tank, to prove that it does/doesn't have any mpg benefit.

Notes: A return to warmer weather with 80% driving in 70-93f and the rest 34-53f. I coasted in neutral where I could maintain speed. The rest of my driving was the usual 3-5mph over the speed limit with no time wasted reaching speed.

Think you drove harder on this tank then the last? That's my problem I need to be more diligent in drive economically

Everyone goes into everything with bias.

For everyone else, meaning not me, it is largely meaningless. But my tank-to-tank drive is pretty similar, so if I don't eek out a large improvement in mpg, then octane doesn't matter for economy, for me. Since I am running a smart octane tune, and I trust trifecta to know what they are doing, this inspection of my personal results may be valid, based on my driving style and transmission.

It could also lead to others trying it, and seeing if my results echo theirs.

Since I haven't done it yet, how can I post pictures?

Oh wait. I see what you are doing...

Tank behavior: 75% highway, some wind, 30s-40s* temp range., oddly enough about 50 miles while getting snowed on

stock tune, 15" wheels, Isuspect summer blend is back at the pump. Price jumped $0.30 and economy seems to have improved slightly compared to previous fill ups with the same style driving.

Another update for my April totals. Still almost all highway. This time around, I was either at 65, or behind a truck going 65+. This gained me an extra 1.5mpg, for 36.94mpg on this tank, my third-best ever.

This tank was all on "perfromance mode" to test it vs "eco mode". As i suspected their does not appear to be a quantifiable difference between eco and perf modes. I'll do a few more tanks in performance mode to get a more accurate guage but I am willing to bet the difference between the 2 modes is not anywhere near where many claim it to be.

also temps were about 50F. Oh and part of I-80 got washed away so that day i had to take a less than stellar detour and lots of stop go which cost me 3.5mpg according to the DIC (it reported 48.4 this tank)

Notes: This is my 3rd tank of the month. This is the first time I've tried Eric's method of coasting in gear. I actually got worse mileage than my 100% city tank. :(

Continuing to improve my April numbers. Got 35.33mpg on this tank, with the 65mph or behind-a-truck-going-65+ method.
