Try softer but don't quote me, I think playing with it would be best
So my next question, naturally, is what are some approaches to eliminating wheel hop?
I went full stiffrolleyes
on the rear Pedders at the track, and that seemed to help. Will stiffer rear springs, like the 6kg's you mentioned in another thread, also help with wheel hop?
different rubber might help as well with the hop and traction issues, although loosing traction might be beneficial in some situations...
I think there was a misunderstanding of what I meant by "axle strength".
Nothing wrong with my main "axle".
Epic Spam Win!!!!!
Pretty straightforward. Gotta suspend the car by the frame. Remove the wheel. Drain the transmission oil. Remove the lower ball joint nut and free the lower control arm from the spindle. Remove the outer axle nut. Pry the inner axle from the transmission and yank her out.
You're lucky if it's the driver side. The passenger side has a flange that holds the inner side of the axle to the transmission. Slightly more work.
No bushings or seals need be replaced.
It's literally right where the axle enters the trans on the driver's side. The drain plug is a 10mm Allen. The fill plug is an 8mm Allen and is the only plug on the top of the trans.
