Thats a nice light wheel! The Modas I settled on are 19lbs a piece. I'm looking at Kumho Ecsta PA31s or Ecsta 4Xs for tires. I've had decent luck with Kumhos in the past The 4Xs have a 7.6" tread width despite being 205s so hopefully they won't look stretched on the 7.5" wide rim. I'm trying to keep the total wheel/tire weight (per corner) less than 42lbs which is what the stock Sonic RS combo weighs.

Also scored a set of TMPS sensors off ebay for $56. Just happened to do a search for 'em when an auction was ending.
Probably not gonna be too picky about the tires as long they have at least a four star rating and are light weight. End result should be the same as the stock 15's.
Want to find some cheap 5mm spacers next.

I'm was thinking of going to a bit wider tire, I have 205/55/16 and was looking at maybe 215/55/16. I thought about a rear sway bar to improve handling but only know of two for the car. I read that the car does not really need nor have the room to use a strut tower brace. The way the front end is designed it has almost a built in strut tower brace. I'm not sure about using one on the back, it would take some of the rear cargo space. I am curious about the wheel spacers, won't they add unsprung weight back that you saved by using lighter wheels?

Can't believe how light my new Maxxim Weeners are. But due to a leaky pipe in my downstairs bathroom, I've been spending all my time rebuilding my bathroom. So, my new wheels are sitting in the garage until I have some time to get new tires and get them mounted.
Before my bathroom emergency, I did find some inexpensive performance tires that seem to be highly rated. They're called Barum Bravuris and Discount tire has them. I believe they're a Continental discount brand for the cheapskate crowd.
Next step, when I have the time and money, is to check out the Chevy brand suspension kit for a 3/4 inch drop. Then I'll add the DDM back brace and that'll probably be it for the handling.

I am sorry to hear about leaky pipe, hopefully you caught it in time.
I checked out the wheels and they look good on the car. It would be nice if they made them with the correct offset so you would not have to use a spacer.
