Boost gauge install help

Ok there are 3 or 4 posts about installing boost gauges and I didn't want to start another... I have a simple question.

Where are you sticking the vacuum line through the firewall and at what point does it come out on the other side?

The firewall in under the dash on the left on the drivers side. Its rubber. If you get a flashlight up in there you can't miss it.

I just installed my Ultragauge and I've only seen a max of 10.5 psi, i thought stock it was supposed to be somewhere around 16?

It depends on temp and elevation. The ecm will dial back boost if you're making the right amount of power

I just installed my Ultragauge and I've only seen a max of 10.5 psi, i thought stock it was supposed to be somewhere around 16?

That was pretty common on mine when it was stock. The most I EVER saw was 13. Depressing. You need a tune! I recently had my budget tune upgraded to "stock/full" and now I see 16 psi on the "stock" tune because the ECU doesn't dumb down.

Don't worry, the tune is comming hopefully within the next week. Just waiting for the tax return!

Kind of a stupid question, mainly me being lazy...... any ideas what the .i.d of that line is? Fiance got me a boost gauge for valentines day, need to pick up a t-fitting.

Won't be doing the install until the weekend so i have pleanty of time to check if noone knows off the top of their head.

Follow that thin line Eric pointed out on the first page, anywhere along that line. im not sure of its path, im going to be splicing in as close to the firewall as possible
