I can't find any mention of carb legality or not on it's web page.

With a smaller company like ZZP and DDM you won't get the carb approvals because a small market isn't worth it, that and most people that require carb certs just throw the parts on anyway.

I would love to have the Borla sound but after looking under my RS there is no way I would pay that kind of money for such a small amount of material. Now before everyone jumps my case about development cost, please understand I do not fault Borla for charging what they can. It is just not for me.
After spending $600+ for cat back on my 01 Silverado I chose to have SS FlowMaster 44 muffler welded in on my 09 Silverado. Got great sound for $100.
Now I just need to determine which muffler will provide the correct sound for my ears.

I agree with you somewhat - but the Borla / aftermarket catbacks are also larger diameter pipe, which really helps your potential for more power - should you ever decide on a tune down the road.

The exit location on the LTZ and the RS are different, ZZP has an up charge on the RS also.

Installed my ZZP cat back on my 2013 RS and it took about 45 minutes to an hour (worked slow and double checked everything). I had everything I needed in the box they sent me, fit like a charm and sounds nice. As far as CARB legality....to the best of my knowledge as long as it is a cat back system then there are no issues. If you start working on the upper half of the exhaust then the CARB issues start. I have had cat back systems on all of my vehicles my adult life in northern California and have never had any issues.
