im sorry, and its probably already been said, but any tuner that says there is no way they can accurately correct for an intake, is a garbage tuner. an air intake is one of the easiest things to tune for, so if this guy can't even do that, he's retarded

... it's not as easy as you'd think to recalibrate the MAF correctly. It's tedious and needs dyno time. Which is why trifecta offers the 'ECP' workaround so they don't need to dyno and recalibrate all the random friggin things we put in our cars. It's completely brilliant if you ask me, I just want more insight into what they're doing. no satisfaction :blankface:

This VTuner guy is going by the book, is what he's doing. It's 'safer' to use the SAB, less dirt/oil on the MAF assembly, and it requires more calibration if using something farther from stock, potentially running cats hot for a while during calibration. But to me, sorry, why the heck is he in the business if he can't do what he's meant to do. SAB tune is for garage tuners like me :banana:

But you need to think that a lot of people want a higher flow intake with the exhaust. ECP enabled is only if you are running with you intake manifold ported or if you have an atmospheric BOV or BPV because otherwise when you shift out of boost you run too rich for that moment because the car is seeing all of that airflow but it's getting released all at once so the computer can't re-calibrate for it because it think's it''s getting the airflow it needs when in really it's not.

I think anyone who starts bashing someone over something that obviously isn't bad on a stock ride is crazy. Just because the tune can't compensate for it is the person who tunes it's fault.
