Well an update on this. I made an appointment and took it to the dealer I bought it from. I gave them a very thorough description of the issue. Its not a minor noise, its very easy to reproduce and audible inside the car even with windows up. The said they would be looking at it that day and would call me by the end of the day with an update.
When I called them the next day after not hearing back, i was told the tech was "looking at another sonic because they think the noise is normal for them." I said that the noise didn't occur the first 25k miles I put on it, its not normal. She said she would speak with the tech and call me back.
When they called me back, they said I could come get it, that my included oil change and tire rotation from purchase was done, and the tech was unable to reproduce the noise. They told me the tech wanted me to bring the car back and meet him and show him exactly what I was talking about.
I picked the car up that afternoon, and scheduled an appointment to meet the tech. I went back at that time, and was told he wasn't available and they gave me another time. I went back on that time and was told the same thing. That was enough run around for me. I told them that working two jobs and having a wife that works and two kids doesn't allow for me to waste my time like this. They were extremely uninterested in dealing with me is the impression they made.
I received a notice to my email a couple days later that my case was closed and asked me to fill out a survey. I doubt they have ever received one quite as bad as the one i submitted. I gave them a very detailed summary of events (i type really fast

) and gave them the worst score in every category.
On top of all that, after the tire rotation the front brakes pulse badly. I was not happy with Len Stoler Chevrolet in Westminster and will never do business there again.
Now, the rest of the story...
I took the car to another dealer close to home, Wantz Chevrolet in Taneytown MD. From the minute I walked in the door i got a completely different response. Extremely friendly and everyone there was interested in service. I made an appointment to leave the car and have the noise and front brakes looked at. They went so far as to allow me to drop the car before going to my second job (which is across the street so it was easy) and then bringing me the car at my job since we close the same time they do.
They looked at the car, and advised there was a service bulletin about a similar issue and they had escalated to corporate to see if mine fell into the criteria. The brought me the car, and called me the next day to follow up.
They advised that corporate needed more information from the car, and asked if we could do another appointment so they could pull the heat shield from the turbo to get the info they need to find out how to proceed. They also advised the front brake rotors would be turned under warranty to fix the pulsing issue which was good to hear.
I had the car there last night for them to do this. They called me before bringing me the car and advised that GM said to replace the entire turbo assembly. This would be covered under warranty, and the parts were ordered. Once the parts come in it will go back to have the work done.
I was surprised to hear they were going to replace the entire turbo, but I am pleased that they are taking care of the issue. I look forward to seeing how it runs afterwards, because I think the issue is causing the car to not make as much boost as it should and to be a bit laggy.
I will update the thread after they do the work to let you guys know how it turns out...
