I agree with sonic007, stroller fits easily in a sedan trunk, but a hatch would be a different story. One other concern would be carseats. my kids are both forward facing now, so I don't know how far up you would have to move the seat to get a rear facing one in. So that may be something to consider.

Congratz! As far as the stroller goes I can only see a really small one fitting in the hatch

I can weigh in on this. Is the Sonic your only car? My wife has a camry which is nicer for baby duty if we need a lot of stuff but around town I try to use the sonic since it gets better gas mileage.
I attached two pics to show you different ways of putting it in the hatch.
Very few strollers will fit with the "deck lid" if that's what you would call it on the hatch, because they are too long and the sonic isn't wide enough to accommodate them. I like to folder down the driver side rear seat and take the deck lid off and just use that area for storage. Once my son is forward facing in the car seat I'll probably switch it around but for now I need the leg room since my wife is shorter than me and I'm 6' tall.
The other option is to take the deck lid off and leave both seats up and let it stick above where the deck lid was.
I have three strollers the one in the picture is this one. Amazon.com: Mia Moda Facile Stroller, Tangerine: Baby It stays in my car pretty much all the time. My wife keeps the fancy stroller Amazon.com: Baby Jogger City Mini Single - Black/Gray: Baby in her car since she has my son more than I. The city mini will actually fit with the deck lid down if you play a mean game of tetris. I don't think very many other strollers would I looked at a LOT of them and this was the only one that I think would and I didn't want to spend that much on another stroller and my wife won't let me have the fancy stroller in my car and I'm not spending $250 on another one.
Jogging stroller: We also have a BOB SE Amazon.com: BOB Revolution SE Single Stroller, Black: Baby it will fit easily with the seat folded down. I haven't tried to fit it with the seats both up. We don't use this one much unless we are going somewhere like the zoo. It mostly just gets used as a jogging stroller right out of the front door.

I got the sedan and my daughter is 2 1/2 years old so she is facing forward but we did have her facing back for at least 3 months in the Sonic and didn't have a problem, should be fine. For the baby stroller, we had the Eddie Bauer and it JUST fit right in with still some room left.

My wife drives a 2013 Chrysler 200 so having a second "big" car is no problem. We do similar though, mainly take the sonic around town because it gets better gas mileage so I am glad to find out others like yourself have had stroller success

We have the big BOB stroller too...it fits fine in the hatch on its side with both seats in place (the hatch cover has to go). But as stated you can always put one seat down for more storage room. Its not as versatile as our other cars have been but we end up taking the Sonic because its more fun to drive
I actually test drove several of the smaller cars and chose the Sonic partly because it had the most room for the passenger when using a rear facing baby seat.

My wife said the same thing! She felt the sonic had much more passenger and rear seat room than my Cobalt SS did.

It's been over a dozen years since I had to tote a stroller around, but I recall having one that was just a frame that the car seat hooked into, and was very small, this meant I didn't have to unstrap a sleeping baby and move him or her to the stroller or vice versa; instead I just moved the whole seat back and forth. That only worked well as infants, though, when they were toddlers, the stroller became more of a luggage cart that had sleeping facilities when needed, and the little car seat/convertible thing didn't serve that very well. You need bigger car seats at that stage anyway.
I am amazed at how much passenger room and cargo room the Sonic has, and I'm sure this is going to be easier for you than my experiences with babies in the F150.
Your next question should be "how do I drive the Sonic safely when I've only had two hours of sleep in the past two days?"

I've been able to stuff a big wheelchair in my hatch without compromising any seat space. (granted its a little tricky to get it in.) Even had like 5 people in the car with the wheelchair.
Surely, a stroller shouldn't be much more difficult.
