Calling all NA and EU transmission Gurus

So I've heard rumors of an M32 gearbox with AWD output but had never seen any proof before today. Does anyone know anything about these? Is it just a bolt on module for the m32 that changes the output? I know on the Autos all you have to do is swap a housing of some sort to add the AWD. How does this work? It appears that they came in the Vauxhall Mokka in Europe, which looks to me like another version of the Trax/Encore.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have an AWD auto already sitting in the back, but I would MUCH rather have the manual.....and this vehicle would likely driven almost entirely in the winter, so I'm not super concerned about the heat aspect. Though I could always add a cooler.

Probably would mount up. Question is why would you bother. There is no tunnel for running a driveshaft back.

Except for that here actually is. I'm not far away from being finished the planning stages. This is entirely doable, and actually not that hard. (For someone who is handy)

So I may have answered my own question....

I maybe just stumbled onto something important.
What follows are photos of a NA Trax transfer case and an EU Vauxhall Mokka Manual Tcase. They look identical. Literally.

This is a mokka manual Tcase

This one is from an Auto trax

This is the swappable plate for AWD models

These are the part numbers etc. Everything is different except for the circled number.

Heat shouldn't be an issue on a manual box anyway. I'd be very surprised if they build specific components for different models that share a chassis, that would be terribly unusual in the modern production world. I'm sure if you could make the auto AWD parts fit the manual AWD stuff would bolt up as well.

Heat is an issue for the M32. Well known to blow bearings like clockwork.
