There is nothing wrong with looking stock under the hood. It just means that the car has sleeper status and there's nothing wrong with having a sleeper car.
I may end up with a small Borg Warner. Looking into that now.
I highly recommend a Borg Warner 6258. I've known of them to spool quickly without surge on jet ski's. If the 6258 can tolerate little jet ski motors they can certainly function on our 1.4's. The unique waste gate design should stop any boost creep right out of the box. The list goes on, they're really nice turbos.
