i got a set of corvette saw blade 17s in my garage im sure they are too wide but has anyone installed a set. insert VW reference.

i was looking at them yesterday and they would look way to wide for such a small car the rears are 285

Just because the Vette tires are too wide doesn't mean that the wheels are. No reason to even attempt a 285 wide tire on the rear of a Sonic.

A 245 or 255/40/17 will mount on a 9.5" wide 17" rim though and be close to the OE tire height of about 25".
