Yes, you're correct. I just don't see where that comes into play with his post.
Swordsmith, Chevy indirectly said no Sonic diesel when announcing the new 1.6T would go in the Sonic but not the Cruze because the Cruze got the diesel engine.

Your gonna spend 2k in an engine trans combo (because why would u put a weak trans to a more powerful engine?)
Possible sure. Cost effective? No way.
Has anyone thought of the 1.3 diesel they use in euro?
Stock is 94hp and 155 lb of torque ( with their 6 speed trans, lower power with the 5 speed)
It's a engine design that has been around since 2003.
So I imagine they are plentiful.
I think they get crazy good mpg too
But down grade in power. I think that was the idea behind the cruze diesel it's more power and better mpg.
That combined economy is just astounding.Pricing: £12,345 to £13,615
Engine: 1.3-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel
Transmission: five-speed manual, front-wheel drive
Body style: five-door hatchback
Rivals: Skoda Fabia, Hyundai i10, Kia Picanto
CO2 emissions: 95 - 108g/km
Combined economy: 74.3 - 78.5mpg
Top speed: 108mph (94bhp Eco model)
0-62mph: 11.7 seconds
Power: 94bhp at 4,000rpm
Torque: 140lb.ft at 1,750 - 2,500rpm
Could it be kmpg? That seems really high for mpg.
I looked it up and an imperial gallon is 1.2 American gallons, 20% more. It still seems a little high for he cars mpgs, maybe it was all going down hill.
