Custom coil cover project

I cracked a couple of the clips on my plastic OEM coil cover thing so I decided to replace it with with something better. I was looking at the DDM cover and I really like it, but I would like it more if it had the sonic logo so I figured I'd make one. I may end up getting the DDM cover eventually because its a lot more durable, but this will be fun in the mean time. Here is the first prototype. I need to make some adjustments because I apparently measured a couple things incorrectly haha.

That's really good, what material did you use?

Paint it up and that thing is legit as fack!

This one is a stereolithography piece. Resin based 3D printing. It doesn't deal well with heat so the final one will be made of a sintered glass filled nylon. I should be able to launch it today after I fix it up a little.

Awesome! We get custom SLAs made all the time at work. Are you planing on molding it?

As of right now, no. I ran it in SLS which is stronger that the SLA. I'm going to either soak it in some really heavy duty cyanoacrylate or some fiberglass resin. After all that, I'm going to paint it. Colors are undecided, but I'll be sure to post the final product.
