Custom springs

Anyone ever had custom springs made for a car? Where did you get it done?

I'm looking for a moderate drop (1.5" or so; less than Eibach), and about 40% stiffer rates in the front, 50% stiffer in the rear

a 1.5" drop is more than eibach. nobody had done custom springs for the Sonic yet.

Its slightly lower than what the Eibachs will drop the rear. I think 1.5 up front and 1.75 rear would be just about right.

Why not coilovers? With springs that much stiffer than stock you are going to need shocks anyway. ..lower any amount you like

I thought the Eibach springs are closer to a 2"+ drop. All the ones I've seen in person looked slammed IMO. Way too low for not much spring rate increase.

I got prototype lowering springs that dropped about 1.5 but for what your looking for I would go coil overs

1.2/1.4" drop front/rear. and they are noticeably firmer than stock.

Used to be a place in Joliet, IL. Closed up now... Asked a friend that does resto work, had springs made there a few time 300-500 average cost as he recalls. And that was for pairs.
