Visual assessment, there was no difference between the oem lt and rs exhaust until the quirk in the pipe for the tip. The last few inches of the rs pipe is an inexplicable double turn, which is why the ddm comes out not centered.

I'm down for whatever DDM offers, even a dummy tip to fill in the gap.

Thanks for info, you would have figured they would have done something a little different with the exhaust. But then again the RS is just an apperance package.

I think it would look nice if Dave fabbed up a tip that looks like the factory RS's. keep the stock look with not so much stock sound.

I want to incorporate my trapezoidal tip. I have sent Dave an email about this in the past and didn't really get a response. He did say, however, that he could send the catback with no tip so that way I could get my stock RS tip welded to it. But, if there's an offset like that, it's not going to fit.

I'm sure an exhaust shop should have no problem making it fit right.

I believe it would fit and you would need the squiggle for it to fit. I did not even consider trying when making the transfer. Using my metal tape measure (indicating some accuracy sacrificed) the diameter of the pipe to the muffler is 5" and the squiggle from the muffler to the tip is 8" indicating there would be no sacrifice as far as a larger exhaust goes.

Come this summer, I think I will try unless someone does it sooner and it works. It seems to me it would be easier to do if the DDM exhaust arrived w/o its tip. Cut the RS tip where it connects to the muffler than weld it to the DDM pipe, assuming one goes with the no muffler option.
