Your factory intake actually produces more power across the rpm range than the Injen intake..... If you're looking for maybe a slight increase in mpg's, 2 extra for about 300 rpm and less hp everywhere else then the Injen might be for you.

That thing is such a failure.
Know what'll give great power? move the intake from a cold position across the motor to help heat the air, that'll do it!

Seriously thou I would like to see some hard data on the injen vs stock vs anything in the MPG department.. it has to be qauntifiably better in some regard right??? I refuse to believe a big name manufacter would make an inferior product in such an intentional way so it has to be better mpg right??

Sorry for the mini rant/questionare, I just can't get my head around it.

TTR posted a Dyno sheet showing a slight gain throughout the RPM range. DDM's dyno comparison of the stock vs DDM vs Injen shows a completely different story on the same car, same day and same tune.

I am fairly certain the Injen would provide increased MPG as a warm air intake. As I have stated before, more than once, if the Injen was marketed as a warm air intake instead of a "Mega Ram Tuned Performance" intake, I wouldn't hate it.

Just installed mine last week without a tune. No codes or check engine light. The vehicle performs exactly the same as stock. The turbo spooling is now audible throughout the gears. I expected that. Sounds okay. I do notice that IAT increases more rapidly at idle with the heat shield in place verses the stock airbox.

I think, inherently, the airbox is better at isolating engine heat than any shield would be. "Breathability" of the intake, on the other hand, is better with the airbox removed. I'm hopeful that a tune will capitalize on this.

Cool man thanks, did you notice any increase in MPG at all? Some people say they only get HP+ in the high end but I imagine stock this would probably only give a better whooshing...

Negligible if anything. Very difficult to discern with winter variables at play. My take on "breathability" is the synergistic effect between the open intake and re-calibration of the ECM.
