I'm a different breed of insomniac. I have no problem falling asleep, or I can stay up late, but either way, at about 4am I wake up, and I'm up.
Sometimes I even wake up at 3am and I want to get up, but I force myself back to sleep, because at 3am, nothing is open and even the dishwasher is too loud.
Anyone else have anti-sleeping in issues?
Not a bad plan.
Pre-sobriety, I had all kinds of issues falling and staying asleep. Until it was time to get up, then suddenly it became really hard to wake up.
Actually that sounds like textbook depression, hahaha, and is what I suffered from.
2 hours to fall asleep? That's brutal. Do you get enough exercize throughout the day? Eat healthy? etc?
Something similar runs on my Dads side of my family.
My grampops couldn't sleep more than 2-3 hours a day. He instead built pianos from scratch and learned 7 languages fluently to pass the time.![]()
My issue is I'm always frigging tired except when its time to sleep.
