Hey, screw you, pal! I like my dress.
I guess the biggest obstacle for me is that I'm never really home to care about it. I'm gone just about all weekend, every weekend, and I work during the week. So I only sleep in the house. As it stands today, I'd never see much of my backyard had I owned the house, and when I would, I'd be mowing it.
That's not all that much fun.

You know what you need,
10 acres of land near a stream, a tarp, a small wood table and a tent as well as a few other items. Make a nice fireplace out of field rocks, set up camp etc.
That, is your idea of "home", or at least it's how I picture your idea of home.

Glad I'm not the only one that didn't like the fire in the middle of leaves with no stones / rocks or any containment.
I mean, at least kick the leaves away and get a good area of clean dirt around the fire, wtf.

I know they need a lot of work to be back to where they need to be, but I decided to try and fit my old polished Z24 wheels on the Sonic. I stripped and polished these wheels back in 2006 or 2007 I think. They spent the last two winters on my 98 Z24 while it was parked outside. I may just have to invest in some new equipment to redo them.
If I decide to continue using them I will need to get new tires. While a 225/50/16 seems to work for now, it is a little closer to the fender than I would like. Finding fun 205/55/16 tires is a little difficult though.

You are not getting my "race" wheels and tires.
I could get a BFG Rival in 225/50/16, but I suspect there would be a bit of rubbing on the edges of the quarter panels.

Yeah, wow. First thing I see is the dude with a ground fire with no means of containment. Smart...
The one thing I dislike about Texas, are the high night time temps, which mean that you either camp and either deal with critters all night and have great ventilation or be isolated from bugs but deal with a hot ass tent. No matter how good your tent is, you're still going to be dealing with reduced airflow.
Bugs don't bother me, but I'm concerned with snakes and scorpions.

I've been absent the forum for a bit, so figured I'd drop by and say hello.
Things have been pretty good at my new job. I received notification that I graduated with an associates in Industrial Maintenance (took 2 months to find that out lol).
The Sonics running ok, had the trans replaced a few months back and it took 3 return visits just to get it marginally acceptable: CEL and no 6th gear 1st visit, no 6th 2nd, occasionally hard to get into 6th on last visit.
With my schedule it was difficult to schedule appointments w/o wasting gas, sacrificing overtime, school, and or finding rides.... Plus I was supremely displeased the car was shipped in an unsatisfactory state so many times. Needless to say I've lost some interest in the car, it's really annoying making 2 or 3 attempts to get into 6th gear, and now 1st/5th (hopefully when I take it back in the next few weeks it'll be resolved).
I also have a few new items in my life that are taking over my spare time.
After 2 years of no riding I've finally broke down and bought a bike, 09 KTM 250SX. It's such a great feeling to get back into the sport I lived for so many years.
So there's the skinny on why I've been absent.
