This is true. Try buying a good condition 1991 Olds Cutlass Calais Quad 4 442 W41. For what they go for when you can find them I will just build my own W41 engine and put it in a different chassis. I already have the cams, '086 head, and three blocks to choose from. One block is essentially a brand new unfinished block from 89-91 ish. I cant recall when the production style Rocket Parts blocks were sourced. Using the crank, bearings, HO intake manifold, head studs, main studs, and aluminum crank pulley, combined with some 2.4 spec parts such as the timing housing and motor mount I could have most of a 2.3 W41 build ready for a car. Sure I still need rods and pistons and if I kept it N/A I would need to have a header made for it, or I could use the T3 flanged manifold that was designed for a 2.3 in a Cavalier....
