The sonic needs a part ordered. Dealer said a rock probably came up and caused a leak. On a lowered car, it is likely my fault but he said he would tell gm that the part is defective. If you need non warranty work done under warranty, wear dress and/or heels lol works every time

I'm not sure that's going to work for everyone! just a hunch lol.

I was thinking about putting some decals on the front window of our house after working on the heating system. You know, "powered by Weil-Mclain" "Kohler equipped" 'Honeywell" "Gorton".

IMO putting stickers on a car is like saying "steal me". I always try to hide stuff especially back when I had a A/D/S system in my truck. The last thing I would've done was put stickers on it.

I know, yours really arn't the same as that but still.

36F is pretty good for a vent temp on a 95F day with the vehicle parked. But what you need to keep in mind is when you get in a 150F+ car on a hot summer day, the colder the vents are the faster the car cools down. The Sonic most likely can do high 40s under the same conditions while moving I bet it gets down in the low 40s.


As for wearing a dress and heels.... I'm not sure what that would get me but something tells me its not what I want.

I have two stickers. One is to say, yes this car is modified, but you'll never know to what extent: Proceed with caution. The other is like putting a copyright on your work. It's the logo for the shop that did my graphics. I have it there for loyalty reasons. Both are subtle.

Sub, I like yours, if you're autocrossing, you're allowed lol.

Learned something fun yesterday. The owner of the shop that let's me use his lift/tools for all my trans swaps and big projects pulled up next to me going down a 30mph city street. I, deciding to show off a little, clutched, revved, and dumped, in 2nd gear mind you...... and pulled the most glorious rolling burnout.

I slowed down so he could catch up. He gave me the proverbial thumbs up, and guess what? I did it again. This is the stuff that brings me deep satisfaction in life. Sounds a little shallow. But hey, happiness is happiness.

In unrelated new, the day before, my MZ0 developed the "pop out of 3rd gear" disease. I imagine it's a bad bearing on the 2nd shaft because it also started grinding going into 4th.

Looks like I'll be going back to the MZ4 for a while. But I'm kind of excited about the better MPG, considering I'm going through a tank every 3 days on the job I'm at.

A tank every three days is pretty intense. Over the summer, I was driving about 90 miles/day for my work commute and filling about once a week. I was definitely appreciating the Sonic's mpg. Now that school is back in session, I'm on pace to fill about once a month. If I didn't enjoy my short little commute to and fro, it almost wouldn't be worth the payment and insurance on a new car.

The fuel cost doesn't bother me so much, when I'm commuting, I'm making $$$.

It's the fuel stops that bother me. I get up at 4am, and the drive is an hour. So I don't feel like making a stop in the morning. And after work the traffic multiplies to the point where every second I lose before getting on the freeway, doubles in minutes I'm stuck in gridlock.

With 91, I average about:

340mi/tank with MZ0 = 3 days
420mi/tank with MZ4 = 4 days

So I still wont' make it through a week. But this jobsite is temporary til work picks back up in my jurisdiction. Then I'm going back to e85 and 270mi/tank.

I totally get it. It's possibly the same happiness I find tearing out of the drive of the local gas-n-go where I get my tea every day before work. There was a good looking guy on a motorcycle fueling up today as I left, and I wondered if he though I was showing off for him. Little does he know, it's daily ritual to leave the station each day for work like I just robbed the place.

Now you need to film one of these burnouts.


On MY unrelated note, I'm trying to hypermile this tank and it hurts. A lot. It's good for the pocket but not for my soul. :blankface:
