Dumb question, need help.

Excuse me for being uneducated in this section. But can someone explain to me what it means by the base, and how I would go about finding out.

Usually that means the lowest model level (like LT, not LTZ or RS)...there's no upper level of TPMS's... so it's just whether or not you have a sedan or a hatch, and the sized wheels that were OEM with the car...or the size of the wheel you want to buy... TPMS means tire pressure monitoring system BTW.
