E3 Spark Plugs

I'm not fully acquainted with newer GM ignition systems (I come from the GM 3800/3400 world) but E3s almost always are bad or not large enough of an improvement to offset replacing already brand new plugs that came with the vehicle.

Like I said I'm new here, just trying to imbue some knowledge

did you happen to check the gap on the E3 plugs? I just threw in some new plugs, gapped them, and runs fine. I know it's a waste of money with today's iridium plugs, but for 8 bucks and 10 minutes of my time, why not? excuses to work on my car are getting slim.

I agree ngk makes most of ac delco anyway so its a win win..

Interesting tidbit, the "AC" in AC delco stands for Albert Champion, founder of Champion plugs. Its strange how those two companies with a connected history can be so different.

Thats why i tried them on a dodge work truck i use to have. They are supposidly made in usa but i really hope not because the ngks are so much "beefier".

Unless they changed suppliers again, A/C Delco plugs are made by NGK. I know I have a few sets from my LD9s that are marked NGK and came out of A/C Delco boxes.

SPARK PLUGS DO NOT AND CAN NOT INCREASE POWER OR FUEL ECONOMY!!!!!! FACT. PERIOD. CERTIFIED. PUT A STAMP ON IT!!

The ONLY way you can "gain power/mpg" is if your replacing worn out cruddy, nasty, old plugs. Period. And in that case you would have "gained" with any old plug, even a $1.50 autolite copper plug. You dont put plugs in as an upgrade - you upgrade the plugs as needed to support what is done to the engine (i.e. colder range for nitrous, smaller gaps for FI, etc). Thats it.

E3s are a waste. I'll say it again - E3s are a WASTE OF YOUR HARD EARNED CASH. I get peoples need to tinker/mess with/break/destroy a perfectly good system - but trust me when I say factory plugs are just fine for 95% of the guys on this board. And the other 5% likely just need a colder plug, not a completely different design plug.

E3 sonic plugs

It took me a little bit for a cross reference but i found it to be part number e3 64. E3 has a lot of bad reviews as does pulstar. Im afraid to try them haha

. I tried them in my 2013 sonic rs. They lasted 6,000 miles before they burnt up and started missin. I guess you can't use these in turbo cars. This is the first bad experience in 5 cars .
