Error code: P2119

Took the car into the dealership finally after getting a P2119, and P0299 CEL, for the third time. Flashed back to stock, and got it checked out before manufacturer warranty ran out (34k miles as of today). I was actually worried that after flashing (which clears the CEL) that they would say that the car was fine, and not work on it. The CEL was found though, and was told that the Throttle Body Acuator was damaged, and needed replacing.

I was wondering if anyone else had ran into this problem before?

So u got this CEL as well? Did they replace yours? Are you tuned?

No not at all.... My vehicle is fine has no issues.

Car has now been at the Dealership for almost two weeks, (Throttle Body Acuator replacement), and they still have yet to even find one. When I asked how much longer it may take, I was told it could be months because of it being back ordered...WTFudge!!!

Really frustrated right now, I still have 2k miles on original Manufacturer warranty, but i just recently bought a 60K extended warranty that kicks in, once the manufacture warranty is over. I'm almost to the point of saying screw it and trading it in, and getting a different car.

Oh and if you have 34K mi you have another 66K mi of warranty left on your powertrain (engine/trans)

EVOX_SPEED3, Sorry to hear this and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. Hopefully, it won't be that long before the part arrives and all is resolved quickly. Has the dealership provided a rental for you?

UPDATE: The dealership finally got the part, and installed it. They called me to pick it up and turn in the rental they gave me. As soon as i freaking left the dealership parking lot (maybe 100yards) BAM!! CEL is back on!!!!!!! I was sooo pissed off, i called the tech rep i was working with and asked him if they even tested the car before making me take time off of work (again for the 3rd time) to come pick up my car when it was STILL not fixed.

I returned the car the next day, and got another rental. 2 days later, he calls me back and says the car has been tested by MANAGEMENT to ensure this will not happen again. He gave me a free oil change, and filled it up the car with full tank of gas. Both would have been good, had he used the oil i wanted and filled up the tank with 91 instead of 87.

Today, guess what's back....CEL P0299, and the car has stock tune on.

Yes, it has tune on it but using stock setting (Cruise control on). I had the wife drive like this all weekend long until it was almost empty and it was running fine. Then tonight while trying to pass someone in 4th at about 4k rpm, the cell came back on.

Cleared the CEL, reflashed again. I'm going to give the car the benefit of the doubt, that the lower octane gas may have caused it. Tomorrow, Im filling up with 93, and running the power tune, IF the CEL come back again, I'm taking it back to dealership, and they have one last shot of figuring this out once and for all- if not, I'm done.

Reflash back to stock! Issue is probably in the trifecta stock/eco tune... If it resets take it back to the dealer if no contact Trifecta.

If the dealer replaces the ECM while its in, it WILL go back to engineering they will find it and you will be DONE!

Just because it the tune is transparent to the dealer it is NOT when GM looks at the Tables in the EMC on the Test bench.

Thanks for the advice/warning, but when I said I would be done, i meant I'm trading it in, and it won't be with a Chevy dealership.

Good Luck but I think you will find the issue goes way with the Original Calibration Installed.

Thanks bro. I always reflash to stock. And this has happened before, and Vince helped me with it, so hopefully, the correct gas will fix it, if not Ill send another data log to Vince. One other thing I forgot to mention, I did NOT use the latest EZFlash version when I reflashed from dealership, but I did use the latest version this time after I cleared the code. So we shall see..
