Going to disagree on that one, the only thing loud pipes do is piss people off and annoy them. But yea, its loud though kind of hard to judge over my speakers from a youtube video.

Its easy to design a free flowing loud exhaust system but it is difficult, yet possible to design a quiet one.

Also, I have yet to say this here but I hate how 4 and 6 cyl engines sound. A V8 is nice and an inline 8 is amazing sounding. Of course there are also the classics like a small displacement Ferrari V12. But an inline 4? can't stand it.

And ChrisJ I agree, That is slightly more difficult. I got mine to sound really deep though my phone just has major distortion... this car has 0 drone now cruising. Just when you plow your foot to it wooopppp wopppppp woooopppp.

Didn't feel like reading 16 pages but I was told from a buy building boosted motors for 30 years that turbos require 0 backpressure. Not saying he is right, just what I heard.

There comes a point where the diminishing returns are not worth it on going bigger. Can you run a 5" exhaust on a 1.4T? Sure. Is it really worth it? Probably not.

I like a V8 as well. 6's never seem to sound good to me but 4's sound pretty good as long as they're not too ricey. I actually wish they sounded more like a piped 4 cyl sportbike. I guess if they turned 12-14k rpm, they would!
