Note: I have nothing to do with this build; I am simply posting this for Roger and keeping it updated for your guys.

Looking for your favorite Sonic of all time?
Look no further.
Roger of Fear One LLC has teamed up with some big name companies to create the UltraSonic, a 2012 Chevy Sonic Turbo. Sporting a custom paintjob with candy teal accents, this Sonic’s engine bay will be home to over 300 horses, while the interior will be completely decked out with fine leather upholstery and the highest quality audio equipment available. The UltraSonic will be unveiled at SEMA 2012 in Vegas.
The Sonic will feature the following:
- Custom one-off 18” wheels by XXR
- Ground effects kit by 3DCarbon
- A superior audio system by Valor Audio, MA Audio, and Metra Audio
- Full interior install by Katzkin
- Custom-mixed Candy Teal powercoat by Nic Industries
- Intake by Injen
- Interior and exterior lighting by Street Glow
- Coil-overs by Pedders
- Brakes by Brembo
- Shark fin antenna from Bad News Racing
- Black Ice grill from E&G Classics
All body work will be done by the Auto Doctors of Arizona, and the build will be photo-documented by Matt Santos.

Updates will be added onto this post. The newest updates will be at the top, with the older ones at the bottom.
August 20
The Sonic was dropped off at Prescott Autobody this morning, and if all goes to plan, a newly painted Sonic will emerge from it's doors soon. Prescott has finished painting the ground effects kit, and is ready to install it once the car is painted.
The shark fin antenna from Bad News Racing arrived today as well, and is also painted to match the rest of the car.
More audio goodies should be arriving soon, as well as the Pedders equipment.
The new XXR wheels and Toyo tires should arrive around the end of the month.
August 16
Pedders coil-overs will ship tomorrow, and more audio goodies have been shipped as well.
Prescott Autobody is currently painting the 3d carbon kit, and the Sonic will be going in for paint soon as well, then it's off to the Auto Doctorz for suspension work.
The interior will then be reinstalled, followed by the audio install by Audio Adrenaline.
Still waiting on the XXR wheels, which will also need to be powder-coated.
August 15
Toyo Tires is now onboard, providing high performance tires.
Kinsey's Custom has started to wrap the seats and the rest of the interior in the Katzkin material.
The Sonic is waiting to go to Prescott for body work and paint.
August 3
Audio equipment from Valor and Metra arrived and were taken to Roger's installer for preperation. A Black Ice grill was received from E&G Classics. The Sonic was taken to Kisey's, who will be handling the uplohstery installation. The passenger seat and rear seats were removed so when the material arrives, they can get a jump start on that while the Sonic is as Prescott Autobody for paint.
August 2
Kiney's Custom shop is prepared to install the Katzkin upholstery, and it just waiting on the material to arrive. Intake and a few engine bay components have been dropped off at Jenkins for powdercoating. As of today, Bad News Racing is coming onboard the product, providing a shark fin antenna for the build.
July 28 - The Sonic was picked up from GM and taken immediately to the Auto Doctors to be fitted for its custom wheels. Unfortunately, the wheels had been machined with a 5x103 bolt pattern, not the Sonic's 5x105 pattern. All is not lost, as new wheels are being machined as I type.
